My Services
Forest School Programme Delivery
I can set up and run your Forest School provision on site or in local woodlands, whether as part of your mainstream programme or alternative provision/nurture group.
I will take care of all the health and safety policies, risk assessments and landowner agreements, as well as the planning and recording of learning and development, the sustainable management of your site and equipment provision and maintenance.
I can help you with parent/staff communications, attracting and keeping adult volunteers, providing INSET or adult volunteer training, and advise you on how to run Forest School on a small budget while also working towards your setting becoming a Recognised Provider.
(Stonesfield Primary School has been an FSA Recognised Provider since 2020 )

Outdoor Learning, After School and Holiday Clubs
I run outdoor learning days, bushcraft and Nature connection themed days, and can help you set up after-school nature play, bushcraft clubs and holiday activity days. I have run a “Wild Club” and a Year 6 ¨Maintenance Crew" at Stonesfield Primary school for several years and work with Mandy Warwick at The Hedgehog Club during school holidays.

Forest School and Forest Kindergarten Trainer and Mentor
I am an FSA Endorsed Trainer and I currently train Forest School Leaders and Forest Kindergarten Leaders on Level 3 courses with Where the Fruit Is. We are Oxfordshire's only FSA Endorsed Trainers.
As a training consultant on the Nature NOW programme - a County Council funded project - we train and mentor early years practitioners in their settings and registered childminders to offer frequent, regular child-led play opportunities in local green spaces. Many of our trainees have gone on to gain the Level 3 Forest Kindergarten qualification.

First Aid Training
Working with ActFast First Aid, I run externally regulated professional First Aid Courses, e.g. one-day Emergency First Aid at Work, 2-day Outdoor and Paediatric First Aid, as well as bespoke courses for your setting, working with adults and young people to challenge them and give them life skills. All courses are hands on and assessed through practical activities as opposed to powerpoint lectures with a test at the end.
Professional Level 3 qualifications are valid for three years and fully accredited by ITC First.

Forest School Consultancy, INSET training and Taster Days
Do you want to know more about the transformative experience of Forest School? Do you want to find out if Forest School is the right kind of outdoor learning for your community group or educational setting?
I can support you with your vision to set up or grow your Forest School provision, through a one-off or series of consultancy visits: looking at site location and set-up, land ownership permissions and insurance, sustainable site management, risk-benefit assessment processes, training, staffing and equipment provision, storage and maintenance.
I run INSET in schools and presentations to local organisations, community groups, adult education groups, charities, seniors groups, gardening clubs, etc. on the benefits and challenges of Forest School. Contact me to find out more.
